These tractors sport a hydraulic system, and were mostly hydraulically driven (although some did have hydrostatic drive). What difference does that make you ask? Lots is the answer. With the hydraulic system, a rear PTO valve can be installed which runs a multitude of attachments (factory tiller, wood splitter and wood chipper) along with just about any other hydraulically operated contraption you could dream up.

The new 31,000-square-foot, two-story Case IH agricultural equipment dealership will be constructed by early 2009. The Mount Pleasant Village Planning Commission recently approved the company's plans for the project.

It was the first tractor in America to deliver an automatic transmission, and Case called its transmission the "Case-O-Matic". Back in 1960, most farmers were leary of such a transmission. So many stayed away from it. However, Case really out did itself because the transmission proved to be an engineering marvel.
