This web page is dedicated to the fabulous Ford 8-N tractor that is nostalgic in so many people’s minds that grew up with them. It is also meant to be an encouragement to those that have never owned an 8-N to consider the acquisition and restoration of this engineering marvel. It is also a documentation of the many modifications that can be done to a piece of mechanical machinery. It is my hope that you will enjoy the information contained on these pages and it may even encourage you to restore or modify a piece of equipment that you have in your possession.

Smith's Old Ford Tractors new

Report Deadlink
The Smith family, currently John, Glenna, Amy, Kelly the Black Lab, and a varying assortment of old Ford tractors resides in central Illinois, just outside of Peoria. John is retired, Glenna is a full time homemaker, and Amy is a junior in college. Kelly the Black Lab barks whenever someone comes up the driveway, and the tractors always do whatever is asked of them. Look for us on weekends during the summer at tractor shows around the Midwest.

Tyler's Ford-Ferguson 9N Web Site new

Report Deadlink
A brand new 9N was the first tractor purchased for the Neff farm in 1940. The Neff farm, circa 1780, is located in Moorefield, WV. The farm consists of nearly 200 acres of "farm" land and roughly 190 acres of "wood" land. The "Neff Brothers", Weldon (my great uncle), and Wilmer (my grandfather), were beef farmers from 1937 until their retirement. Beef farming, mainly Herefords, was their main source of income. Corn, wheat, oats, and even green beans were crops they produced for an additional source of income.
