Technical data for early Briggs & Stratton cast iron engines. The information on this page and the following pages is excerpted from the booklet "Data Handbook for early Briggs & Stratton Engines" compiled by Bob Learned. This booklet is a collection of specifications and data for early model Briggs & Stratton Cast Iron engines. The information shown here and in the booklet has been compiled from the best information available to me, but as with all data that has passed through many hands, the accuracy cannot be guaranteed. If you like old engines, you've come to the right place. This site is run by Rob Skinner and Kelley Garcia, a couple of gearheads in La Habra, California (close to Disneyland, for those of you from far away). We collect old machinery, primarily stationary engines, but we've been known to occassionally give quarter to tractors, farm machinery, and other bits of old iron.
